The third ACTE AGM took place in the wonderful setting of the Wine Cultural Center Shabo in Odessa region, Ukraine. Santiago VIVANCO, President of ACTE, thanked the family IUKURIDZE, owners of Shabo, for their generosity and their essential role in ACTE: helping to create a dynamic network of wine leaders and wine communities across Europe. Mr Santiago VIVANCO, President of ACTE, opened the meeting, which was being hosted in the wonderful setting of Wine Cultural Center Shabo in Odessa region, Ukraine. He stated it is a great honour for our Association to be hosted on this occasion of the third AGM, by family Iukuridze, owner of Shabo. Santiago emphasised the role of ACTE as an Association based on values which reflect our main goals and which are creating a fantastic network of wine leaders and wine communities across Europe.
Since the last AGM, the Association had three main goals: to become sustainable; to bring high-level engagement in the work of the Association give it an exulted place in the world of wine; and to make a community of wine cultural institutions/museums that can, through their leaders, promote and act as the inspiration for wine culture globally. Santiago stated we are well on our way to achieve all three of these goals.
Mr Giorgi IUKURIDZE welcomed the participants and said that he was very pleased to host the ACTE AGM in his Wine Cultural Center. Since the inception of ACTE Shabo has been a strong supporter of the ideas and principles which have inspired it and the Iukuridze family is happy to provide the setting for this very important meeting of the 3rd AGM. Shabo has been very impressed with the direction given to the Association by Santiago Vivanco and we compliment his commitment and his work. In hosting today’s meeting we are also celebrating and thanking him for the work he has done for all of us.
